Panda's Gold Slots is definitely one of the weirder games on the market. Sure, we love pandas just as much as the next person, but we have no idea how they relate to gold, or what any of the things in this game actually have to do with that. That thought will be left lingering over your mind for the entire time that you played, which makes the experience a lot more fun and entertaining in the same way a nice comedy show would be. That smile and panda will be sitting there the whole time chewing on that bamboo, having you scratch your head and wondering what the whole thing is all about!

Aside from that little fact, however, there is still a lot to like here. The art style, of course, is very well done, and will have a smile on your face anytime you look at one of the cute little animals featured there. We can't say the same for the suits of playing cards here, but that is certainly true of everything else. The number of pay lines is also wonderful, being 88 in total, and the maximum multiplier per any bet is 50,000, which is astronomical!

Whether you are in this game for the pandas, or are interested in the many features present in this slot, you will find a lot to like. It offers many things not seen elsewhere, a theme that is authentically original given the odd juxtaposition that it involves, and becomes more endearing the longer that you spend with it. If any of this sounds nice, feel free to have a spin right now, as there is no one stopping you but yourself! We won't mind, we'll still be here when you get back, assuming you don't spend the rest of the night simply playing the game!

What is This Slot About?

This game is all about animals out in China that are hanging around and having a good time while hoarding lots of money somewhere. At least that is what the title has led us to believe. If you were to take the title off, however, all you would really know about this game is that there are many wonderful Chinese animals all over it, some kind of shrine, and stylized suits of playing cards that look like are they out of place here. It is a nice game overall, but thematically, we do admit that it is kind of a mess!

How Does the Game Actually Play?

This game plays pretty well, arguably better than it looks. That is not to say that it is not a pretty game, but the developers clearly put more thought and effort into the game play here, which is something that you would come to expect from something by real time gaming. No matter what a game looks like, anything backed by them always plays absolutely wonderfully! You can expect the usual goodness here, only with 88 pay lines rather than 25, and maxim multipliers that go all the way up to 50,000. This is far outside of what they usually offer, making it a treat for that fact alone! There's a reason that this game is so popular, and it likely lies in this game play.

Most of what you will match here are cute little cuddly animals, although we are not sure that would apply to the Fish! Aside from the panda that you would obviously expect, there is a pretty little bird, some cute little flowers, the fortune itself, a pagoda, a peacock, and many suits of playing cards.

How's it Look?

This is where most of the game's quirky sense of charm comes into play, featuring wonderfully done artwork that is all across the board. None of it looks bad, but all of it does look very strange when placed together. The theme of it all is clearly Chinese animals, but as to why they were all here together, and what any of them are doing, that remains a mystery! I'm sure that's what animals would say about us if they saw how we lived, however, so maybe it is all a matter of perspective.

The hand drawn nature to each of the illustrations came out really well, the colors are to die for, and the background varies quite a bit, but tends to revolve around the Great Wall of China. We are not sure why they chose this place of all things, but if they were clearly going for something very Asian looking, it doesn't get any more Asian than the Great Wall of China!

What We Enjoyed

We We Didn't Much Care For

- Where's the gold?

Who is the Ideal Audience of this Particular Slot?

If you like pandas, it would be really strange if you don't like this game. Anyone that is a fan of China will also like that the developers went out of their way to work in Chinese elements, leaving anyone else enjoying this game as a fan of the strange juxtaposition of these animals and all kinds of gold that we are continually looking for when we play!

Summing it All Up - Should You Play This Fine Game?

Summing it up, Panda's Gold Slots is not the only game about pandas out there, but it is the only game about pandas that took them somewhat seriously and teamed them up with all kinds of other Chinese wildlife centered around a theme that none of them would understand in the slightest. If you were looking for a very different take on the animal genre, and love everything Asian, then we are running out of reasons for why you would not love this game too!
