Zombies vs. Cheerleaders II is a game with limitless potential of that mostly manages to squander it and end up looking kind of cheap and creepy. Although the theme itself lends well to the images that they decided to use, the poor execution sacrifices a good half of what the theme could have been. Rather than being a raunchy take on zombies, it ends up being a somewhat zombie look at random women. This is not what we had in mind when we went to go play this game, and imagine that will be true of most players as well. It would've been great if they would have chosen the graphics a little bit better, but here we are!

The gameplay is fun despite all else, and does manage to make up for some of the missteps that they took with the art direction. The main problem that we have with this game is that it is not all that great to look at, mostly being poorly drawn when it comes to the non-zombie characters themselves. This is a shame, as they are clearly the main draw of this game. There are already many games about zombies out there, this game having been unique because of the cheerleader aspect. Because they failed to execute that well, it falters.

Still, if you love zombies enough and don't really care about the cheerleader part of it, then this game works well enough if you focus just on the zombie aspect itself. Those actually came out just fine, and are good or better than any of the others that you will see around. Hopefully that will be enough, and entice enough players as the original clearly did if this one warranted its existence as a sequel!

What is This Slot About?

This game is all about zombies, which somehow came alive during a football game and decided to attack a bus full of cheerleaders. This sounds like an absolutely wonderful idea, and the idea alone is clearly popular because this one is a sequel to another. The way it all comes together, however, you wonder why any of them are all that popular, because they clearly did not use many aspects of this premise to the fullest extent that they could. This is basically just a zombie game that happens to have some girls in there, and it all feels more zombie then cheerleader. Call us crazy, but we like cheerleaders better than zombies!

How Does the Game Actually Play?

This game plays a little better than it looks, which is fortunate, because we are not a big fan of the graphics! Real time gaming saves the day once again, offering impressive progressive jackpots and all kinds of other features that will keep you entertained for hours at a time. The reels here are the standard five, and there are 25 pay lines, which you are also probably used to by now. The coins are also standard, going for as little as a penny, or going up to about the price of a cheerleader's lunch money at five dollars each. The bonus feature mostly gives you free spins, which we are completely fine with, and everything else is about what you would expect.

You will mostly be matching zombies here, which come in many shapes and sizes. Cheerleaders are the other element that will come up quite a bit, alongside many suits of playing cards. We wish the cheerleaders were larger in number and more bustily done, but we can't have everything we suppose!

How's it Look?

This is where we have the most criticisms with the game. They overly focused on the zombie aspect of the same at the expense of the cheerleaders, to the point that you will wonder why there are cheerleaders here at all. Everything is covered in blood, and looks appropriately zombie like in nature. We don't have a problem with that, nor the stylization that they used on elements such as the playing cards. We are not a big fan of the cheerleaders, however, which are not at all attractive, and mostly feel like random figures. If they had mailed this aspect of the game, we would have rated it far higher than we did!

Who is the Ideal Audience of this Particular Slot?

If you love the first, then for whatever reason, you are likely going to like the sequel. It takes everything that the first manages to do and does it a little bit better. That's about as much as you can ask for in a sequel, so we have no problems with the game there. For anyone that has never played the original, or is looking for something on the more pretty side of things, this game likely is not for you.

Summing it All Up - Should You Play This Fine Game?

Summing it up, Zombies vs. Cheerleaders II Slots is a game that we feel bad for not liking all that much, but it's the truth! We were not a big fan of the original, either, and our criticisms about that largely hold up here too. This one is clearly superior in every way to that original, but that does not make up for the many misgivings that we still have at the game. If you like zombies, this game is perfectly suited to your tastes. If you love cheerleaders, however, you will still be left wanting a much better cheerleader game, both in terms of the quality of the women, the style of the art, and many other things that go into making a theme like that actually work on the Internet!
