How's it Look?
Most of the budget went into the graphics, and we are quite thankful for it, because it really seals the package together in a very nice way. It all has a rustic, London look that is very authentic to the era they are trying to depict. Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud, as this really does capture of the vibe he was going for when he wrote the original serial dramas. Everything is very colorful, but not too much. It goes in perfectly well with the personality of an inspector, which is a fitting choice. They do try to veer things off a little bit from the standard Sherlock Holmes theme, but it is still very obvious that is what they were going for. We are not sure why they tried to hide this, I would have preferred if they just embraced it outright.
There are some playing cards to be had, which we are not the biggest fans of, but they are fittingly stylized, and because of the literary nature of the premise, we are OK with them.
