Sure, the 5 reels and 25 pay lines that you'll be better on are standard, but there are over 14 features in the game that spice things up and keep them interesting. You choose a character class, for example, just like in an RPG. This is fitting because that's what that genre of games was inspired by, and is a welcome addition to the slot world! This changes the nature of what you'll be matching and why, the likelihood of things coming up or not, and things of that nature. It's all great, refreshing, and we wouldn't have it any other way! This is of course alongside the usual goodness from real time gaming, such as coin sizes fit for any budget, and maximum bets that won't break the bank but still keep things interesting.
The progressive jackpot in particular deserves special mention, being our favorite part of the game by far. That's the norm for us, as we are fans of money, but we feel we'd mention it because we know we're not alone in that regard!
How's it Look?
Everything you'll find in this game was made by a professional 3-D modeler, with textures to match, and a design sense on par with the best in the industry. It's gorgeous for the most part, and the only thing we might criticize about the game is how brown it is. We like brown, but there's an awful lot of it here! It does go well with the theme, however, and the grungy nature of how it all plays out, so we'll let it go.
You'll find many interesting characters and locales here to look at as you're winning all that money, each of which looks perfectly suited to the theme they were going for, and does a wonderful job of conveying their own version of what Tolkien had in mind when he originally penned the series that spawned an entire genre of literature that remains popular today.
